Jerry Owens, one of Ross Group’s expert DBAs, was recently recognized in the Dayton Daily News for a different kind of DBA—the Dayton Bowling Association. Owens will be inducted in the Dayton Bowling Association Hall of Fame on August 1 at the Dayton Bowling Council’s 11th annual awards banquet.
How has Jerry earned such an honor? According to the Dayton Daily News, Jerry started to master his bowling skills at a young age because he had access to a bowling center that his father owned. Jerry has many accomplishments in bowling. He has rolled 17 800 series, and has had 23 perfect games. He has earned several city titles and is a two-time member of the DBA All-Star first team. Owens has placed as high as second in the state tournament and has collected 10 Air Force bowling championships.
Owens currently bowls with his wife, Jennifer, and son, Don, in the PBA Experience league. In regards to this, Owens said, “I’m really enjoying it, even if they beat me.”
