Ross Group Inc Member of UDRI Team Awarded U.S. Air Force Contract on the Design and Engineering Support Program (DESP III)

This five-year, $1.9 billion indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity contract vehicle is designed to facilitate the acquisition of a broad range of engineering services in support of the Air Force and other Department of Defense (DOD) agencies.

Dayton, Ohio, March 21, 2012 – Ross Group Inc (www.rossgroupinc.com) announced today that it is teamed with the University of Dayton Research Institute (UDRI) to support the DESP III contract. UDRI was recently awarded a prime spot on the DESP III contract.

The DESP III contract provides the Air Force and other DOD agencies the ability to award task orders under the program as work is needed and in a fraction of the time it would take to set up a new contract for each task order, making DESP cost effective for sponsors.

"Teaming with small business partners like Ross Group, who has successful past performance with DOD projects, provides value to UDRI for us to better serve our DOD clients" said David Calder, University of Dayton Research Institute Sustainment Technologies Integration Office.

"Ross Group is pleased to be teamed with UDRI to provide complementary IT Software and Database Services Lifecycle Management (SLM) capabilities on DESP III" says Steve Woody, Senior Vice-President Commercial and Government IT Services. "Ross Group provides best practice SLM services to customers across the country running Ross Group’s Enterprise Application Software (EAS) systems built on Web Services and Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) frameworks. They rely on our SLM support, methodology, and continual service improvement. Our CommitDBATM unit provides database expertise on Oracle and SQL Server technologies in use throughout the DOD community" Mr. Woody added.
