Atlanta, Georgia (Oct 5, 2010) Ross Group Inc, a leading supplier of enterprise software to veterinary teaching hospitals and labs in North America, announced the promotion of Wendell Riley to Director of its Veterinary Solutions Division. In his new role Mr. Riley will assume management responsibilities for all aspects of Ross Group’s veterinary software business and its flagship Universal Veterinary Information System (UVIS) product.

"Wendell has been a key member of the UVIS team since the product’s inception in 1998 and has played a leading role in making UVIS the market leading application in the veterinary teaching hospital and lab communities. Wendell has served as the technical lead for the hospital portion of the application in recent years and brings a complete understanding of the technical aspects as well as a track record of respected leadership and collaboration within the community. He is uniquely qualified to guide this business unit to new heights" said Richard Spanier, Senior VP Business Development.

Mr. Riley joined Ross Group in 1998 as a developer in Oracle Forms/Reports, and PL/SQL. He has been a technical lead and task manager on numerous high visibility projects within Ross Group’s Veterinary Solutions Division. These tasks include the initial go-live implementations at numerous large teaching hospitals as well as a migration of the product from a client/server model to a three tier application server model.

Mr. Riley served as an officer in the United States Marine Corps and as a task lead at Computer Sciences Corporation (CSC) prior to joining Ross Group. He holds bachelors degrees in Aviation Management and Computer Sciences. He is married with three children and works in our Douglasville, Georgia office.
